Assistant Teacher & After School Caregiver
I am originally from Rome, Georgia. I grew up and began my teaching career in that area. In 1985 I married my husband Jim, a West Texas native and recent seminary graduate. We spent the next nine years as church planters on the mission field in western Pennsylvania. We then left Pennsylvania and moved with our three children to Kemp, Texas. I taught at a local Christian school for the next twenty years. In August of 2015 we decided to make a move to Abilene, an area we were already familiar with because of family ties. Currently we are attending Elmdale Baptist Church in east Abilene where Jim is serving as Interim Pastor. As for me, I came to Cornerstone in September 2015 and have spent the last two years working as a teacher’s aide and extended care worker. I love being at Cornerstone Christian! It is such a blessing to be in an environment where God’s Word is applied to every aspect of learning. The students grow not only academically, but spiritually as they learn Biblical principles to guide their lives. It is truly a privilege to be a part of that growth!
